On behalf of the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, we're very pleased to extend an invitation to those interested in joining an upcoming event entitled "Caught in a Trap? Asia and the Pacifics Middle-Income Countries at a Crossroads", hosted by the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University and the Independent Evaluation Department (IED) at ADB in partnership, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on Wednesday, 21 June 2017.
The main focus of the event will be the variety of challenges and opportunities that face middle-income countries in Asia and the Pacific. The audience will comprise senior level government officials from the region, private sector representatives, civil society organizations, academics and members of the international development community.

All sessions will adopt a Davos-style talk show format, with moderated discussion among the speakers followed by questions from the audience.
