The Faculty of Economics organized a seminar on “Dynamic Systemic Vulnerability and Middle Income Trap: Comparative Study of Singapore and Thailand” by Dr. Monthien Satimanon, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand and Dr. Thasanee Satimanon, School of Development Economics, National Institute of Development Administration, Bangkok, Thailand; on Thursday 1 December 2016 at 01:30 to 03:30 pm., 5th floor meeting room, The Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Tha Prachan Campus.
On November 21, 2016, Prof. Dr. Sakon Varanyuwatana, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; Dr. Chayanee Chawanote, Vice Dean For International Affairs; Mrs. Narisa Klieothong, International Affairs Coordinator; Ms. Wannah Vejbrahm, the program coordinator of the graduate study program and 10 graduate students, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University welcomed Dr. Suharnomo, SE., M.Si, Dean; Dra. Amie Kusuma Wardhani., M.Sc, Ph.D, Vice Dean; 4 lecturers and 28 Master of Management students, the Faculty of Economics & Business, Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia. Upon their visit, Dr. Chayanee Chawanote introduced the graduate study's curriculum. Thammasat economics graduate students presented their research and provided a campus tour.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) and The Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University organized a seminar on "ABD’s Publicly Accessible Database: Data from more than two decades of ADB supported projects" by Mr. Hans Van Rijn, Principal Evaluation Specialist, Asian Development Bank; on Monday 14 November 2016 at 01:30 - 03:30 pm., 5th floor Main Meeting room, The Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Tha Prachan.
On November 1, Dr. Kittichai Saelee; International Affairs Committee and Dr. Anin Aroonruengsawat; BE Director, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University welcomed Prof. Toshihiro Ichida and 15 students from Waseda University, Japan. Upon their visit, the students presented their presentation and BE students leaded them to the campus tour.
On October 28, Dr. Chayanee Chawanote, Vice Dean for International Affairs; Dr. Anin Aroonruengsawa, BE Director and Mrs. Narisa Klieothong, International Affairs Coordinator welcomed Mr. Sidney Jackson, Director of Global Admissions for the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies; Ms. Tennille Haegele, Director of Admissions for the Georgetown University Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service; Ms. Liz Wagoner, Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Washington, D.C. and Ms. Grace Han, Executive Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs in the city of New York. The group of four schools representatives gave BE students the information about the degree offerings, career & networking opportunities as well as admission requirements.
On October 17, Dr. Chayanee Chawanote ; Vice Dean for International Affairs and Dr. Anin Aroonruengsawat; BE Director, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University welcomed Prof. Dr. Yuri Sadoi and 7 students from the Faculty of Economics, Meijo University, Japan. Upon their visit, the students presented their presentation and BE students leaded them to the campus tour.
Congratulations to KANTHEERA TIPKANJANARAT (B.E Alumni) won the Innovation Challenge at A Billion Brains project: Smarter Children, Healthier Economies, 3rd Asia Pacific High Level Meeting on Child Rights, UNICEF Malaysia.
On August 26, Dr. Chayanee Chawanote; Vice Dean For International Affairs, Mrs. Narisa Klieothong; International Affairs Coordinator, Ms. Wannah Vejbrahm; the program coordinator of the graduate study program and six graduate students, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University welcomed Drs. Rusliaman Siahaan, MM; a secretary of post graduate study program in Master of Management & lecturer and Mr. Simon Sitanggang, SE; a Head of Administration, post graduate student program and seven graduate students , HKBP Nommensen University. Upon their visit, we discussed the economic condition in each country and campus tour
On August 22, Dr. Chayanee Chawanote; Vice Dean for International Affairs and Ajarn Chol Bunnag; Lecturer, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University welcomed Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tetsuo Mizobe, Asst.Prof. Dr. Mitsuru Sonoe and 11 students from College of Bioresource Sciences, Nihon University, Japan. Upon their visit, the students learnt about Thai rural economy.
On August 9, the International Affairs Office, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University welcomed 36 exchange students; they are 32 undergraduate students and 4 graduate students. They learnt about life on campus & activities, life off campus, campus tour and registration.
The International Affairs Office, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University organized the pre-departure orientation for outgoing exchange students on Monday 1 August 2016. They learnt about how to survive in the first week, how to prepare for studying, course equivalency, course registration, life style and activities. After they finish the term of exchange program, they have to write the testimonials which include photos for sharing their experience to others.
