Seminar on the Launch of the Latest UNDP Human Development Report 2023-2024 titled "Unlocking Traps: New Perspectives on Cooperation in a Divided World"

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Thailand, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, organized a Seminar on the Launch of the Latest UNDP Human Development Report 2023-2024 titled "Unlocking Traps: New Perspectives on Cooperation in a Divided World" on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Room 101, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Tha Prachan Campus. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, who delivered a special keynote address. Also present were Assistant Professor Dr. Supachai Srisuchart, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, and Mr. Renaud Meyer, UNDP Thailand Resident Representative, who both delivered welcome remarks and opened the event.

During the event, the Human Development Report 2023/2024 was presented by Dr. Dadanee Wutipadadorn and Dr. Anan Serechesetpong, economists from UNDP Thailand. The seminar also included a discussion on "Unlocking Traps: New Perspectives on Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Thailand," featuring panelists Professor Dr. Pavida Pananond from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Thammasat University, Associate Professor Dr. Niramon Sutammakid from the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Associate Professor Dr. Piti Srisangnam, Director of the Center for International Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Apichart Karungraksakul, Chairman of the Social Innovation Foundation. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Thanachon Jongyosying, Executive Editor of TNN. Following the discussion, Ms. Irina Goryunova, Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP Thailand, delivered the closing remarks.
