Activity Highlights

  • Students in educational institutions who have knowledge about entrepreneurship, starting from business concept creation to actual business operation, experience learning, innovation creation, exchanging experiences, and building business networks. They also have the opportunity to start a business while studying at the university.


Activity Details

  • The Student Affairs Division invites students to participate in the Micropreneur competition (GSB Micropreneur Academy) to find Smart Start Ideas by GSB Startup. Participants will create products or services of all types of businesses under the concept of sustainable business operations (Environment, Social, Governance: ESG) to receive scholarships and further develop their products or services.


Participant Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate, master's, or doctoral students in the same educational institution, or

  • Graduated students within the past 5 years, teaming up with currently enrolled undergraduate, master's, or doctoral students from the same educational institution (there must be at least 1 currently enrolled student in the team).

  • Each team must have no more than 10 members.

  • Must be ready to participate in activities as specified by the bank in 2567 and be ready to participate in establishing a Smart Startup Company by GSB Startup if selected as one of the final 25 teams (Prototype to Company round).


Students participating in the Smart Start Idea by GSB Startup competition must use at least one of the bank's products, such as savings accounts, MyMo application, VISA cards, or ATM cards, on the day of registration. Participants must also like and share the GSB SMEs Startup Facebook page or as specified by the bank.

Competition Process

  1. University Level Round The university-level judging committee will evaluate the preliminary qualifications and select 3 works from the university-level video clips and project proposals presented by students to compete at the national level.

  2. Selection Round: Top 40 Works at the National Level The judging committee will select 40 works from the university-level entries for the national-level competition based on the video clips and project proposals presented by students. These works will move on to the Prototype to Company round.

  3. Students with works that have been selected by the bank's judging committee to compete at the Prototype to Company round must present their works (Pitching) and business plans to the judging committee. Each presentation should not exceed 3 minutes, with up to 5 minutes for questions from the committee. In this round, the committee will select the top 25 works to receive scholarships from the bank.
