EconTU Hosts Special Lecture on “Flooded Cities Redux” by Prof. John Gibson

On March 30, 2026, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University (EconTU), organized a special lecture titled “Flooded Cities Redux” at Room 305, Tha Prachan Campus. The session featured Prof. John Gibson from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, who also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Development Review, the official journal of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The event was co-moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nattapong Puttanapong, a faculty member of EconTU.

During the lecture, Prof. Gibson presented his research on utilizing satellite imagery to monitor and estimate urban recovery across various flood-affected countries. Beyond his research findings, he shared expert insights and provided practical guidance on preparing research for publication in international journals. The event attracted significant interest from both students and faculty members.
