ERTC Thammasat Organizes the 47th Economics Training Program for Secondary School Social Studies Teachers

From April 21 to 23, 2026, the Economics Research and Training Center (ERTC) of the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, held the "Economics Training Program for Secondary School Social Studies Teachers (Batch 47)" at Lecture Room 305, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University (Tha Prachan Campus).

The program was attended by 32 secondary school social studies teachers from all regions across the country. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peera Charoenporn, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered the welcoming remarks.

The objective of this project is to support educators in deepening their understanding of economics, ensuring they grasp the core principles accurately. This knowledge is intended to be applied in daily life and effectively transferred to students. The training featured expert guest speakers from the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, and the Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research (PIER), Bank of Thailand, who shared their expertise on the following topics:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naphon Phumma on "Economics and Decision Making"
Khun Chanaluk Chaisriluck on "Behavioral Economics: Public Goods Game"
Dr. Lathaporn Rattanavararak, Head of Research Group at the Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research (PIER), Bank of Thailand, on "Thai Household Debt and Credit Measures"
Asst. Prof. Dr. Teerawut Sripinit on "Thai Economic Indicators"
Asst. Prof. Sittikorn Nippaya on "Cultural Economics"
Dr. Krit Phankitnirundorn on "Behavioral Economics: Human Health"
