Congratulations to Khun Salahuddeen Nirahing, a second-year student in the Bachelor of Economics (Thai language course), on receiving the Award of Excellence for Best Project Proposal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, for a project proposal on cooperation between the Mekong River countries and Korea under the Mekong–ROK and ASEAN–ROK cooperation frameworks.
The award-winning project, titled “Threads Beyond Border: Preserving Textile Heritage Before it Disappears,” focuses on preserving textile heritage and local wisdom from the Republic of Korea and the Mekong River countries, aiming to prevent the loss of valuable knowledge and cultural heritage while promoting regional cooperation and development.
The award was granted following participation in the 5th ROK-MEKONG Youth Group Workshop, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, held from 3–7 August 2026 in Busan and Seoul, as a platform for exchange and cooperation between the youth of Korea and the Mekong River countries in the areas of culture, tourism, the environment, and regional development.
